How can we work together?

I offer an autistic perspective on navigating eating disorder recovery and nurturing autistic wellbeing. I draw on my lived experiences and late-realised autism diagnosis to inform my work. My approach is reflective, neuro-affirmative and hope-inspired.
We can work together in a variety of ways. I can offer:

Professional profile

From lived experience to professional practice

My freelance work is founded on lived experiences, reflective practices and professional experience. I set aside time and space to explore, curate and communicate insights in an intentional way.

My understanding comes from a lifetime of experiences as an autistic girl/woman. This includes navigating a challenging journey of recovery from anorexia. I draw on that therapeutic journey, along with my ongoing process and commitment to supporting my autistic wellbeing.

My professional background also includes:

  • Working as an Expert with Lived Experience Co-trainer and Peer Support Worker for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism
  • Training with ImROC to become an Autism Peer Support Worker
  • Completing ImROC’s Peer Support and Preparation for Work Training - Mental Health
  • Working as a Strategic Expert by Experience and Project Worker for Grapevine’s Expert by Experience Co-production Service
  • An ongoing commitment to personal and professional development. This means reading a lot of books and attending a lot of workshops, webinars and conferences!

Testimonials
Brain in Hand logo
“Remie is a remarkable and gifted woman. She kindly agreed to be the keynote speaker at our whole company's away day, which involved presenting via TEAMS to a room of over 100 people. Not only did she deliver the most moving, insightful and thoughtful presentation I have ever witnessed but she also held the attention of every person in the room for 45 minutes, with several of us moved to tears. It was human storytelling at its best and most powerful.”
